Fireworks can get 15 times hotter than the boiling point of water, so be careful if you're putting on a homemade fireworks display during the Fourth of July celebrations!

There is a small and brief message written on the back of the Declaration of Independence, but before you go on a National Treasure hunt, it's just the words "Original Declaration of Independence dated 4th July 1776." It's written upside-down, though, so that's fun.

Benjamin Franklin was the oldest person to sign the Declaration of Independence (70 years old), and Edward Rutledge was the youngest (26 years old). Powerful evidence of what multigenerational groups can do when they act in unity!

BOOK: America, A Redemptive Story, by Senator Tim Scott / I love hearing the stories of how men and women rose to the positions they hold, and this story of Senator Scott's rise was very compelling.

BOOK: Rural Mission, by Will Basham / I've never been more convinced that the backbone of our nation is connected through local churches in rural places.

Why are there no knock-knock jokes about America?
​Because freedom rings.

Sometimes, slow is fast. Here's an interesting article about an iconic Olympian sprinter that will encourage you to relax over the Fourth of July holiday.
