BOOK: Nice, by Sharon Hodde Miller / Another book that caused a complete paradigm shift in how I treat people.

BOOK: Culture of Honor, by Danny Silk / This book changed my perspective on parenting, punishment, and discipline, and I only wish I'd read it years earlier because of how it made me a better dad.

My favorite Father's Day present was a book given to me by Sydney. She had bought it with her own money at a school store because she knew I loved to read, and when I saw the title, I laughed until I cried. The book that my sweet grade-school daughter had given me?

"How to Be a Better Dad"
